Alison Griffiths & David Cruise
Alison Griffiths and David Cruise have been writing in the business and investment fields for nearly 20 years. Their investigative work for Canadian Business Magazine, Saturday Night and CBC have garnered them numerous awards. One of their best known works, Net Worth: Exploding the Myth of Pro Hockey, was a business expose of the NHL which was later made into a movie by CBC-TV.

In addition, they’ve written seven bestselling non-fiction books, a produced movie of the week, documentaries for radio and television and a recently released work of historical fiction Vancouver: A Novel. In 2000, Griffiths and Cruise were the recipients of the prestigious Atkinson Fellowship in Public Policy.

Griffiths and Cruise have been business columnists for the Toronto Star since 1996 and the Portfolio Doctor is recognized to be one of the best-read columns in the paper.
