The creation of cartoonist Kieran Meehan, Pros & Cons reveals the comical triumphs and failures of a lawyer, a doctor and a cop whose personal lives are often colored by their day jobs. Each strip features a lighthearted joke about the career path of each of these pros...and the cons they encounter along the way. Featuring a cast of buddies including skeptical defense lawyer Samuel Rhodes, sophisticated psychiatrist Lyndon Peel, and tough-talking detective Stan Defoe, Pros & Cons chronicles not only their careers, but their friendship.

The strip tags along with Samuel, Lyndon and Stan as they go about their day jobs: revealing the trials and tribulations of a lawyer, divulging the many wacky personalities a psychiatrist encounters, and uncovering the cop's tense interrogation room and mean streets. The many cons - whether they are lying under oath, handcuffed to a bench, or confessing their secrets - provide ample work and lots of laughs for the three practiced pros.

Creator Kieran Meehan, who dreamt of being a cartoonist since he was a child growing up in Glasgow, has also worked as an artist and occasionally paints. Through the years, though, cartooning has remained his true passion: "The honest and spontaneous reaction to a cartoon," he says, "is more gratifying than the considered musings of any number of art critics who reviewed my paintings."
